The Toyota Echo is a small hatch back vehicle that doesn’t have too much space inside and our customer was looking for some extra room. At Rack Attack we have a special 36″ length track system that use on shorter roof hatchbacks and 2 dr coupe vehicles. Thie spreads the load over the roof and means we don’t have to use a clip fit that has to attach to the door jambs. This is much cleaner look and no part of the rack touches to doors or roof paint.
2005 Toyota Echo with Ascent 1500
For cargo space the customer prefered the Ascent 1500 from Thule, this is an economical box that has a 15 cubic foot volume that doubles the trunk space of this car. It fit’s the roof perfectly and you can still fully open the hatch.
The rack ssyetm uses Thule’s 430 Tracker foot pack and a TK1 kit to slide in the track. It can be completely removed when not in use just leaving the slim black track on the roof.
