Today we did an install on a new MDX for a customer who was looking to carry 4 bikes and 4 kayaks. The customer had the stock MDX without any factory roof rack system. We decided to go with a Thule track system, this is more flexible compared to the factory rack as you can use wider bars to carry the 2 kayaks side by side. The track is installed from outside the vehicle only and we guarantee the install for as long as you have the car. You can also completely remove the rack system and the only thing that remains is the black strip of the track in the roof, so a nice clean look.

Once the track was installed we added the Thule 430 tracker rack and the customer wanted the easiest loading system to carry their kayaks, which is the Thule Hullavator. This is a unique system only Thule has which enables you to load the kayak onto the saddles at chest height and then the cradles help lift the boat up onto the rack. check out the video below:
For the hitch rack we installed a Thule Roadway 4 rack that can hold 4 bikes and fold down when not in use. This rack is the basic Thule model but still works far better than a lot of the competitions best racks. It has quick release levers to allow easy access to the hatch and you can add the STL lock and Anti-Sway cradles to complete the rack.
